About Us
God placed the name Gideon on our heart from the book of Judges chapter 6-8 from the battle of Gideon. The Israelites were reduced from 22,000 soldiers to just 300 to battle the Midianites. With the power of the Lord, trumpets, and torches, the Israelites defeated the Midianites. The Israelites were reduced to a very small number so they would not be able to brag about defeating the Midianites in their own strength. It was God who was going to deliver them from their enemy and they needed to be reminded of that.
Gideon is about us relying on God’s strength in the battles, not our own. If God is for us, then who can be against us? At Gideon’s Closet, you are not going through your battle alone. You have the strength and love of the Lord our God and he will be with you every step of the way. We want to come along side you and help you on this next journey in your life.
Our mission is to help those starting over by providing gently used, quality business clothing for a new job or job interview. We also want each person who receives clothing to receive encouragement that they are not alone and that they can start this new chapter in their life.
